An Antelope Adding on an Abacus!

In the animal kingdom, the superior brain power of the antelope causes all other animals’ (with the exception of the dolphin) self-esteem to crumble*. Here is a fellow that supports the argument beautifully by utilizing an abacus to assist with his addition. I don’t know about you but I certainly have no idea how to use an abacus. What an intelligent creature! And he shows such refinement by wearing an ascot with his jacket.

This looks really solid. And you painted that type, didn’t you? Good portfolio piece, though I wonder if it could be brightened a little digitally.

Thanks, Adam. I had a lot of fun with it. I did paint the text but it’s all based on real fonts I nabbed from photoshop so I can’t claim any design credit. I agree with your darkness comment and I’ll tinker with it.

Love that big chunky nose! Great painting.

  4. Phil Says:

    Thanks!
