Meltdown

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Soyal Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ is putting on a group gallery show entitled Meltdown. The opening is tomorrow night from 7 to 10 PM. There are apparently going to be over 30 artists in the show, including yours truly. It’s located at 4200 N Marshall Way Suites 2 &3. I can’t make it out for the opening but if you’re in the area, stop by. I’m sure there’s going to be some great stuff on display.

For more on the gallery, it’s whereabouts and regular hours, check out their website- www.soyalgallery.com

Here’s my piece for the show. The Abominable Snowman’s Melting Habitat, 8×10, acrylics on board. Click to make it bigger.

Protect The Little Children

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Hello All! I’ve written a short little story about a rather terrible alien invasion. When aliens arrive with the sole purpose of eating as much of the human race as possible, researchers must go to ghastly lengths to protect the world’s children.

The story does contain very slight, salty language.  You’d hear far worse on any television station right at this very moment. Of course, the violence is pretty over the top. And yet, despite that description, I think it’s a pretty funny story. I may have issues.

You can read the entire story below the cut. Just click the “read the rest…” link. You can also download it in pdf (37.8 kb) and plain text (12.1 kb) forms. It is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License. So feel free to to do nearly whatever you’d like with it, as long as you credit me as the original source and you don’t make any money from it.

And, please, let me know what you think in the comments.

Enjoy!
