Mustache! For Kids?

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Hello All,

This November I am participating in a fantastic program to help raise money for schools while simultaneously humiliating myself in front of the entire world. The humiliation isn’t the fantastic part. That would be the raising money for kids thing that would be fantastic. So for the next four weeks, I will be attempting to grow some sort of scrawny facial hair that I will refer to as a mustache, although the rest of the world will doubt this claim while also laughing at me. The laughter is acceptable as long as you feel sufficiently guilty and donate to the deserving programs to assuage your guilt. To start I’ve picked 5 projects from Tucson, AZ, where I currently live, and Taylor, MI, the district from which I graduated.

“How do I donate,” I hear you eagerly ask (while stifling a snicker. Yes, I heard that). It’s easy! Go to this (http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/viewChallenge.html?id=25486&category=157) website and pick one of the projects on my page. Give them money. There you go! Easy peezy. You can also follow the link in the widget to the right (below the galleries menu). That will stay there all month for easy access.

I will be posting updates, including photos, every few days so everyone can bask in the glory that will be my mustache. While it may not solve world hunger, hopefully it can help some kids and their schools.

Here I am today, with a cleanly shaven canvas– ready to begin my ultimate creation!

Thanks in advance for everyone’s support! It means a lot to me, the kids, and their teachers.
