Mad Science Opens This Saturday, July 11th!
Hello Everyone!
I’m excited to finally say that Mad Science, my gallery show with Fabian Corona and Dave Carender, is opening this Saturday. It’s taking place at Lulubell Gallery and Toy Bodega in Tucson, AZ. There’s an opening reception from 6 to 9 pm.

The first 6 images are a series I’m calling “Disaster Tourism.” They are influenced by the kinds of vintage travel postcards that would tout various tourist destinations or roadside attractions. These images also include some sort of fantastical element that is somehow ruining the intended destination.
The right half of my wall contains the Disaster Tourism series.

The left side of my wall.
This wall includes the painting “Baby Hates Koala” that measures 70″ x 18″ (70.75 x 18.5 including frame).
Since I was playing with one type of Americana with the tourism set, I wanted to play with another for this image. Here I was influenced by traditional folk art with it’s flatter color and lack of depth towards the horizon line.
It is presented below in 3 smaller chunks.

Prints
I’m offering prints of two of the Disaster Tourism series. They include Vegas and Tucson. Both measure 11×14 and are limited to an edition of 50. Priced at $40 each.
Postcards
Lastly, I also did a set of postcards for the 6 Disaster Tourism images. They are priced at $20 per set.
One More Thing! Free Coloring Pages!
The three artists participating in the show did coloring pages. We’re going to have a table at the show where people can color for free. Since they’ll be free at the show, I figured I’d put them up here for everyone to download. They are in pdf form and you can download them all in a zipped file by clicking here.
